Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Down 23 cents, or 4.09 per cent, to $5.40 on 6.8-million shares.

Postmedia Network Canada Corp. (TSX:PNC.B). Media. Unchanged at $2.25 on 5.5-million shares.

Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B). Miner. Up 90 cents, or 3.65 per cent, to $25.56 on 4.8-million shares.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Up five cents, or 1.04 per cent, to $4.84 on 4.1-million shares.

Arizona Mining Inc. (TSX:AZ). Miner. Down one cent, or 0.35 per cent, to $2.85 on 3.9-million shares.

Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX:CGC). Drug manufacturer. Up 32 cents, or 5.73 per cent, to $5.90 on 3.4-million shares.

Rogers Communications Inc. (TSX:RCI.B). Telecommunications. Down 13 cents, or 0.24 per cent, to $54.21 on 1.5-million shares. In a surprise move, Rogers Communications announced Monday the immediate departure of its CEO Guy Laurence and the uncertain arrival time for his replacement, former Telus chief executive Joe Natale. The man assigned to bridge the gap as interim CEO of the telecommunications and media giant — veteran Rogers chairman Alan Horn — said the company is working to hire Natale as soon as he is able to join.
