March comes to an end with spring-like weather in Kamloops this week

The marmots are becoming more active on McArthur Island as spring arrives.

KAMLOOPS - A little bit of everything this week in Kamloops including clouds, showers and some sunshine.

Environment Canada says we'll see a mix of sun and cloud today, March 27. A high of 13 Celsius is forecast, but a slight breeze might make it feel a bit cooler. Tonight the temperature will drop to 5 C with a few more clouds.

Tomorrow it’ll be slightly cooler with a 60 per cent go showers starting around lunch and a high of 11 C. In the evening the mercury will drop to 2 C with cloudy periods.

Wednesday looks to be the dreariest day of the week, with a high of only 10 C, 60 per cent chance of showers and clouds predicted for the whole day. That night, the temperature will drop to 5 C, with the clouds remaining, though the showers will taper off.

Thursday, though, might be the nicest day of the week, with a clear and sunny day forecast. A high of 14 C is expected for the day, dropping to 2 C over night.

Friday will be similar with highs of 12 C, but more of a mix of sun and cloud. Overnight temperatures will drop to 5 C with cloudy periods.

Currently the weekend is looking pretty good, with highs of 16 C and a mix of sun and cloud. These are fairly typical temperatures for this time of year as the spring melt clears out the city's snow.
