VERNON - It’s not Christmas without the dazzle of bright lights around the city, and we’ve found the displays you don’t want to miss this year.
A Christmas lights driving tour is a fun, and best of all, a free way to get in the holiday spirit. When night falls, the City of Vernon transforms into another world well worth exploring; glowing reindeer graze in yards and homes shimmer in a rainbow of lights.
To help you plan your own driving tour we’ve put together a map of some of the best places, we know of, to see Christmas lights in Vernon. Make sure to stop by 4105 Pleasant Valley Road which has over 25000 lights sequenced to a 12 song light show, plus a walking path that leads to a lit backyard, a crockpot of hot apple cider and a burning fire. The shows runs every night starting at 5 p.m. and restarts every hour until the final 9 p.m. show. The pathway is open from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. each night as well, and donations are being accepted for the Vernon Women's Transition House Society.
