AUG. 18 — KAMLOOPS - Police are looking for assistance in the search for a missing Kamloops man.

He left the Royal Inland Hospital on Aug. 15 on his own accord and he's been missing ever since, according to a Kamloops RCMP press release.

His family, who haven’t had contact with him, are concerned for his safety. The man had a medical condition which requires medication.

RCMP say he may be trying to get to Vancouver Island. He’s gone missing before, but not for long periods of time.
