Man wanted for murder in Alberta arrested in Kamloops

Kamloops RCMP arrested a man wanted for an Alberta homocide yesterday.

Mark William Bitterman, 30, of Red Deer was taken into custody after a long investigation by Red Deer RCMP after a man was found dead in a home there by a concerned neighbour May 3. The Calgary Medical Examiners office performed an autopsy showing the man was murdered prompting a police search for possible suspects in the crime.

The deceased was Curtis Leroy Rangen, 43, of Red Deer.

Bitterman will appear in Red Deer Provincial Court June 21, 2013.
