VERNON - Police suspect a man who rolled his car Sunday on Highway 97 near the Army Camp may have been drinking.

At about 5:45 a.m. Mounties responded to a report of a rollover on Highway 97. When they arrived they found the 24-year-old Vernon driver of the Mazda banged up with injuries to his face and possible back injuries as well.

RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says it appears the man wasn't wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and he is expected to face impaired charges. He said the man was also driving without insurance.
