Man charged after crashing into pole in Osoyoos

OSOYOOS - A man who began swerving before hitting a pole in downtown Osoyoos has been charged with failing to remain at the scene.

Police heard April 8 an alleged drunk driver was driving his 2011 GMC truck eratically at about 5:50 p.m. before hitting the pole located at 7308 Main Street in Osoyoos. A concerned citizen helped Mounties locate the truck that was parked in the Falcon Motel parking lot following the accident.

The driver, a 35-year-old man from Chilliwack was charged and his truck impounded.
