KAMLOOPS - One man was arrested early Wednesday morning after the vehicle he was a passenger in attempted to flee police.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for failure to comply with an undertaking when police caught up to a vehicle he was in, Cpl. Jodi Shelkie of Kamloops RCMP says.

Around 3:30 a.m. today, May 4, police attempted to pull over a two-door car for erratic driving, Shelkie says, but the vehicle instead drove off. She says the car eventually stopped near Singh Street and Happyvale Avenue in Brocklehurst. Two people fled on foot, she says, while a third, the 19-year-old male, was arrested at the car.

The two who fled have not yet been located.

“We didn’t locate them but we seized the vehicle,” she says. “It’s still under investigation.”

She says police are still trying to locate the registered owner of the vehicle.
