OKANAGAN - The Okanagan Regional Library is again adding to its growing digital collection by adding free member access to Lynda.com.

Lynda.com is an online collection of instructional tutorials taught by industry experts, with thousands of videos that cover everything from animation to web design and accounting to writing. New tutorial videos are added to the collection regularly.

“Have you ever wanted to learn how to improve your photography skills, learn how to design a logo, or develop business and marketing skills? Now you can watch Lynda.com tutorials on these topics for free if you have an ORL card,” virtual branch librarian Chantelle McGee says. "Normally, there is a monthly subscription fee that Lynda.com customers have to pay."

Lynda.com is easy to use and the videos play on the browser of a computer or tablet with an Internet connection.

You can find out more about how to get started with using Lynda.com at http://www.orl.bc.ca/online-resources/help/lynda.

It is the latest addition to the ORL’s online offerings that include eBooks, eAudiobooks, online magazines, and streaming video.

World-wide, over 4 million people have used Lynda.com to improve their skills and boost creativity, and has a subscription fee for non-library users.
