Awesome Blossom

Awesome Blossom is an approximately 8 year old sweetheart who is young at heart.

She was brought to BC SPCA Kamloops Branch from Kamloops bylaw after she was surrendered to them when her owners were unable to take her to their new residence.

She has good obedience and responses to basic "sit" and "shake paw" commands. Her leash manners are also very nice and she does great in the car. Since being here we have noticed that she likes puppies, and she has found a playmate in one dog here but she is protective with her toys and food so these things should be removed before playtime with dogs or children. She was curious and calm around the cats we have here and very much enjoyed having her bum scratched by a child (kids are the perfect height for bum scratches).

Blossom is friendly and affectionate but may get easily over excited. She likes to jump up to hug and kiss (slobber) on people so she may not be a good match for very young children or frail persons. Full of energy, she will need lots of exercise and outings with her future guardian and may want chase moving things like bikes, animals or children.

Blossom may get anxious when left alone for too long, so she'll need to get used to spending time alone slowly a few minutes at a time.

If you're looking for an active and fun dog then Awesome Blossom may just be the dog for you, and she tells us that she would love to finally find her furrever home! A behaviour counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal to ensure success in the new home.
