KAMLOOPS - Teddy is a silver fox looking for his caring companion.

He may be timid, however, he is eager to please and wants to be your friend, according to the Kamloops SPCA pet profile.

Teddy is gentle and sociable, however, everything is new to him so he needs to be introduced to people and new situations slowly. Because of his timid nature, the SPCA says potential adopters might have to do multiple visits with him before being allowed to take him home.

A more quiet environment and gentle handling is something Teddy needs so, he cannot go to a home with any young children.

He is picking up his leash manners by learning leash etiquette.

Teddy wants to be your friend, however, staff says he gets overwhelmed easily because he doesn't know how to that. He will need a guardian that has a lot of time to spend with him and someone who is patient.

It is believed that Teddy will bond strongly which might lead to him being anxious when left alone, however, that can be overcome by letting him get used to spending time alone slowly a few minutes at a time.

He likes to practice his escaping skills. He is quite the little Houdini so will be a home with a secure yard.

Teddy has it in him to be a great dog. He just needs someone to show him how. He is eager to please and has lots of love to give.

If you are looking to add a sweet soul to the family, come down and visit the shelter, call them at 250-376-7722, email the SPCA at kamloops@spca.bc.ca or visit the website for more information.
