Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week

Aubrey

Aubrey was brought into the Kamloops branch of the B.C. SPCA with a litter of kittens. Her kittens have since found their forever homes, and Aubrey has been in foster care until she could receive the surgery she required for a knee injury, however, over time her knee healed on its own and Aubrey is now looking for her forever home.

Aubrey will need to always be an indoor cat, as she does not have full motion in her knee, and will always have a limp. She may be prone to arthritis in the future, so a home with a history of regular veterinary visits would be best to ensure she gets the care she needs.

Aubrey is a little shy with strangers, and will take a little time to warm up. But once she does, she loves to cuddle, although she can be quite an independent cat. She enjoys playing with whatever she finds on the ground like elastic bands, plastic pieces, paper balls, as well as cat toys. She can keep herself entertained for hours.

Because Aubrey does not particularly enjoy being picked up, she would do best in a home with older children. Aubrey likes to be the princess and will let you know when she wants attention, and is perfectly happy coming to you for it.

Aubrey gets along great with the foster dogs in her home. She is often found following them around like their shadow, and snuggling with them on their beds if she doesn't take them over herself.

If you are interested in meeting Aubrey, please contact the Kamloops SPCA at 250-376-7722, kamloops@spca.bc.ca or online at the shelter's website. Her Animal ID number is 335619.
