KELOWNA - It’s all hands on deck for the annual high seas adventure known as Boat for Hope.

This weekend, children with special needs and their families will gather at the downtown Kelowna marine where they will board pirate ships bound for several treasure stations located at various stops on Okanagan Lake.

During the voyage, participants will use water cannons to keep other pirates from taking their treasure.

The Boat for Hope fundraiser takes place every year and has raised more than $1 million for Variety – The Children’s Charity.

The day kicks off at 10 a.m. June 18 at Kerry Park.
