Look out, Environment Canada issues a severe thunderstorm watch

UPDATE: All watches and warnings have ended as of 8:20 p.m. Aug. 21.

KAMLOOPS - The North Thompson could be in for a stormy Sunday.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued today at 9:34 a.m. for the North Thompson.

Environment Canada defines a thunderstorm watch as "conditions favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms."

The storms may be capable of producing strong winds, heavy rain and large hail.
