Light a Bulb reaches one third of goal

VERNON - With the 26th annual Light a Bulb underway, Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation has reached nearly one-third of its goal, raising $82,000 to date.

“We have a goal of $250,000, with donations supporting the Building a Tower of Care Campaign, Phase II, to furnish and equip the 6th and 7th floors of Polson Tower,” says Campaign Co-Chair Dr. Chris Cunningham.

Campaign donations include $2,000.00 from Royal Purple #123 and $1,000 each from Elks Lodge #45, Vernon Japanese Ladies Auxiliary, Vernon Jubilee Hospital Auxiliary and the Pythian Sisters.  Many businesses and individuals have also contributed to the Campaign.

“It’s very gratifying to see our community come together to support Light a Bulb,” says Dr. Cunningham.  “Any gift, big or small, will help us enhance the quality of healthcare in the North Okanagan.”
