It’s Up, Up and Away for the 2013 Summer Reading Club for kids at the Okanagan Regional Library. Whether your child is interested in things with wings, superheroes, the secrets of the stars or weird weather, there will be a program that suits them during this exciting summer program. Fun contests, activities and guest speakers encourage kids to read the summer away and help prevent learning losses that occur when they don’t take part in educational activities.
Registration for SRC begins soon and is ongoing throughout the summer. Last year there were 4,524 children registered for the Summer Reading Clubs at our 29 branches. A huge total of 8.998 children went to our 208 programs system-wide from Golden to Princeton.
Check out www.orl.bc.ca/kids for more details about the variety of programs at your local branch and sign up your child to become a super reader.
