Keremeos transfer station survey

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) is asking all residents in the Keremeos, Cawston, Hedley and Olalla areas to fill in a user survey regarding the Keremeos Waste Transfer Station at the Keremeos Landfill.

Copies of the survey are available at the Keremeos Landfill, Keremeos Village Office and online at www.rdos.bc.ca.

The Keremeos Waste Transfer Station accepts residential garbage, recycling and compostable yard waste. The service is primarily paid for through property taxes.

The RDOS is trying to determine what services people in the area would like to receive.

Traditionally the Transfer Station has only been open on Sundays. For several months the Keremeos Transfer Station has been open an additional day on Wednesdays. This additional Wednesday opening will stop at the end of September.

Determining if residents would like to keep the Transfer Station open an additional day is an important goal of the survey.

Surveys should be handed in by Oct. 25, 2015.
