Keremeos restaurant target of armed robbery

PENTICTON - Keremeos RCMP are investigating an armed robbery in the quiet agricultural community.

The Keremeos Subway restaurant was held up at around 9 p.m. last night, Dec. 16, according to a media release from RCMP media spokesperson Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

Moskaluk says a lone man entered the business wielding a knife and demanding cash from a restaurant employee.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police describe the suspect at 5'11" tall with a medium build. He was wearing black clothing, including a hoodie and ski mask.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the robbery is asked to call the Keremeos RCMP at 250-499-5511, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
