KELOWNA - As National Volunteer Appreciation Week draws to the end the Kelowna RCMP Regional Detachment wishes to extend their sincere thanks to their large dedicated group of volunteers.

During National Volunteer Week, the Nation comes together to express their gratitude millions of volunteers across Canada. The Kelowna RCMP Regional Detachment benefits from over 200 volunteers whose efforts support our ongoing activities in the Communities of Kelowna, West Kelowna, and Lake Country.

These amazing individuals dedicate countless hours volunteering in areas such as staffing our many Community Policing Officer, being a part of our Citizens on Patrol, Speed Watch and Child ID programs, in administrative tasks and countless other ways.

“Without our volunteers our detachments could not continue to provide the high level of police service delivery and community engagement we currently provide,” says Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey. “Our volunteers not only provide their invaluable service but they also fulfill the essential role of being a bridge between the detachment and the Communities they serve,” adds O’Donaghey.

“I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the members and staff of the Kelowna Regional Detachment, to extend our sincere appreciation for your dedicated service as RCMP Volunteers and your commitment to making a difference in our community,” says Officer in Charge, Supt. Nick Romanchuk.
