KELOWNA - In what can only be described as a joint operation, Kelowna RCMP say the have seized a significant amount of cannabis based a tip from Nova Scotia.

Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Const. Lesley Smith said in a press release police on Nov. 1 executed a warrant and seized 62 lbs. of dried cannabis from a legal medical growing operation on Paret Road.

Police allege marijuana grown there under the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes regulations was in fact, being sold to the Hells Angels organization.

A second warrant executed the next day led to the seizure of another 2.6 lbs. of cannabis. The growing operation had 94 mature plants, Smith said.

She says the raids were conducted based on information from the Nova Scotia Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit.
