KELOWNA - RCMP are asking for the public's help to find an armed robbery suspect after a clerk and a customer were robbed in a Kelowna store yesterday afternoon.

RCMP say a man with a knife held up an employee and a woman shopping at the M & M Food Market in the 2000 block of Harvey Avenue at around 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15.

The suspect got way on foot with cash from the till and the woman's purse, according to an RCMP media release. He was last seen heading towards Springfield Road along Ambrosi Street. Investigators say he may have escaped on a bicycle or in a vehicle.

Both the store clerk and the customer were uninjured during the robbery.

RCMP are looking for a Caucasian man in his late 20s or early 30s. His face was covered with a black bandana. He was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie under a black windbreaker jacket, a grey and white baseball cap and a pair of white shoes.

If you know anything about this case, and you have not yet spoken to police, you are asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
