Kelowna RCMP on hunt for suspect after attempted meat theft

KELOWNA - Police are still looking for a thief who tried to steal $270 worth of meat from a Kelowna Save-On Foods store a week ago.

According to a release from Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers, police were contacted after a man was watched leaving the grocery store with a basket of unpaid meat.

The release describes the man as Caucasian, about 40years-old, with a grey goatee. He was wearing a black ball cap, an orange hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The suspect walked into the store shortly after 10 p.m. on Nov. 10, 2016. As he left the store with the stolen items, he dropped the basket and ran towards Harvey Avenue.
