Sports enthusiasts in Kelowna will get to use their skis, bikes, running shoes and canoes all in a row this Sunday. The 33rd annual Ski2Sea Race will kick off at 9:30 a.m. on April 14th as participants race down the mountain to reach the finish line on the shores of Okanagan Lake.

Since its launch in 1980 the race has evolved to incorporate six different stages covering a total of 95 km. Soloists and teams of two to seven will be challenged to relay from alpine to nordic skiing, mountain to street biking, running and finally canoeing and kayaking.

A traffic advisory will be in effect for motorists along Highway 33 to Garner Road, and Lakeshore at Truswell, where runners will be coming through the Mission Creek Greenway.

Peck Road in Rutland will be closed between 10:30 and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
