Kamloops woman identified in fatal accident near Vernon last week

VERNON - The B.C. Coroners Service has released the name of Kamloops woman killed in a car accident in Vernon last week.

Susan Lousie Delrose, 55, died when the vehicle she was a passenger in collided with a pickup truck on Sept. 20, according to a media release. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 97 and Westside Road at 5:30 p.m. when the vehicle Honda SUV Delrose was in turned left onto the highway and into the path of the pickup truck. The two other occupants in the SUV were seriously injured, while the driver of the truck was uninjured.

The highway was closed for sometime in both directions.

The Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services are still investigating the crash.
