Kamloops marches into spring this week

KAMLOOPS - As we head into March, Kamloops can look forward to spring arriving.

Today, Feb. 27, will be the coldest day of the week, with a high of -1 Celsius mand mainly cloudy skies, according to Environment Canada. The clouds will remain and temperature will drop to -10 C overnight.

Tomorrow we’ll see the warming begin, with a high of 2 C on a sunny day, though cloud will role in later in the day with a 20 km/h breeze. The night will be cloudy with a low of -3 C.

Wednesday will be the first of the warmer days, with a high of 7 C currently forecast with a mix of sun and cloud. In the evening clouds will return with a low of -2 C.

A mix of sun and cloud will be back for Thursday along with a high of 9 C. That night it shouldn’t reach freezing, with a low of 3 C predicted and cloudy periods.

Friday will be similar to Thursday with a mix of sun and cloud and high of 8 C. A low of -2 C is forecast that night with cloudy periods.

The weekend should be a lot like the week previous, with highs around 8 C and lows around -5 C.

The temperatures are pretty close to the average for this time of year, with highs typically roughly 7 C and lows dropping to -3 C for Kamloops.
