Kamloops man dies from injuries caused in December crash

KAMLOOPS - A driver injured in a six-car crash on the Yellowhead Highway just after Christmas has died in hospital from the injuries he sustained.

Barb McLintock, a spokesperson for the B.C. Coroner’s Service, says the Kamloops man was hospitalized after the crash on Dec. 29 and died from complications related to his injuries on Jan. 28.

Wesley Earl Peters was 61.

The crash, which occured between Sun Rivers and Mount Paul Way, reduced the highway to single lane traffic for a number of hours. Four people were transferred to Royal Inland Hospital after the crash, with one in critical condition.
