KAMLOOPS - Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find a violent shoplifter who bit a RCMP officer at Northills Mall earlier this month.

On its Facebook page, Kamloops and District Crime Stoppers says on Thursday, July 21 at 8:45 p.m. a female shoplifter allegedly took several items from a store in the mall and assaulted a loss prevention officer. A RCMP officer arrived on scene and approached the woman and when she refused to comply, she became physically aggressive and bit the officer. She then fled the mall.

This happened just four days before a very similar incident, where another female shoplifter bit a loss prevention officer.

The suspect is described as female, First Nations, mid-20s, 5' 8" tall, weighing 170 -180 lbs. with shoulder length hair.

An image of the suspect from the security camera has been released.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-222-8477.
