KAMLOOPS - On Saturday, May 28, the 7th annual Boob Tour comedy show took over the Coast Hotel in Kamloops raising a record $15,000 for Breast Health in our community.
The money raised has been donated to both the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation and the hospitals Afternoon Auxiliary Wig/Hat/Scarf Bank in the Cancer Clinic. The funds will be used to improve access to screening and faster diagnosis.
The earlier a Cancer is detected, the more options a woman has for treatment and the better chance she has for a cure. With continued focus on improving access to Breast Health care and decreasing Diagnosis timelines we hope to see an overall improvement for women in our community.
Special thanks to Lisa Somogyi and her team of dedicated, compassionate volunteers who made this even such a success. We are forever grateful for individuals who take a lead to improve the lives of so many others.
