KAMLOOPS - Fire investigators are on scene at a North Shore home today after crews knocked down an attic fire last night.

Platoon Capt. Jeff Bell says Kamloops Fire Rescue received a call at around 10:45 p.m., July 26, for a house on fire in the 300-block of Willow Street.

"Crews responded and there was smoke and flames showing when they arrived," Bell says.

Bell says crews contained the flames to the roof and attic area of the home.

It's not known how many people were inside at the time, but it was occupied. Bell says there were no injuries reported.

Investigators will likely determine today what the cause of the fire was and how extensive the damage is.
