KAMLOOPS - The victim of a targeted shooting was released from hospital and police say the investigation remains active, but won't confirm if suspects have been identified.

The shooting occurred Feb. 18 near the Petro-Canada station on Versatile Drive. The victim allegedly collapsed in front of the gas bar and was attended to by staff.

Since the incident, Cpl. Cheryl Bush says the victim, who is well-known to police, and some witnesses have not cooperated with investigators.

“The victim and even certain witnesses are refusing to cooperate with police but we are continuing to work through information,” she says. “If there was something more we could put out there we certainly would."

At the time of the incident, police said suspects left the scene driving two light-coloured vehicles.

Bush was unable to provide more details on suspect descriptions.
