International leaders in water conservation stop in Kelowna

Speaker Angela Reid-Nagy spoke at the Water for People breakfast conference this morning, hosted by the B.C. Water and Waste Association. Reid-Nagy is a former city councillor, and helped coordinate the Mission Creek Greenway in 1996.

International leaders in water conservation gathered at the Kelowna Yacht Club early this morning to raise funds for the Water for People charity which helps bring safe drinking water to communities in the developing world.

The B.C. Water and Waste Association hosted the charity and will speak to Kelowna City Councillors later today about the upcoming Drinking Water Week (May 20-26) and the Community Water Challenge.
