IN PHOTOS AND VIDEO: How to prepare for a zombie walk

A great day for a zombie wedding.

KAMLOOPS - With Halloween less than a week away zombies once again took to downtown Kamloops in search of brains, and fun.

Bonnie McLean has organized the Zombie Walk for nine years now and every year it gets bigger and better. This year close to 100 people took part, each with a unique look and zombie persona.

McLean takes just 45 minutes to get her makeup ready, but she also comes from a dance and theatre background and has her wig and clothes ready to go beforehand. Others, like Michelle Braun, spent close to two hours prepping their zombie selves before the walk.

Clever artistry saw plenty of latex, baby powder, fake blood and even oatmeal used to help create the gory zombies.

About a dozen people also took part in rehearsals the week leading up to the walk. The group performed to Michael Jackson's Thriller along Victoria Street, much to the amusement of people who line the streets in anticipation of the approaching mob.

And what Zombie Walk would be complete without stopping for drinks and appetizers in full costume afterwards?
