A section of Highway 97 between Penticton and Kelowna will be closed in both directions between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. today through Monday.

The Ministry of Transportation is continuing its blasting work to secure the rockslide site between Callan Road and North Beach Road this weekend, Feb. 23 to 26.

The ministry has been closing the highway for blasting twice a week throughout the winter because of a rockslide that closed the highway for weeks in September.

There is no set date for when the work will be complete, but regular closures will continue until the ministry has secured the area.
