KAMLOOPS - If you love motocross, this is the weekend you have been waiting for.

The motocross nationals will be bringing some of the top riders from across the world to Kamloops this weekend.

The 2015 Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross National series is kicking off at Whispering Pines in Kamloops this year, before heading to Nanaimo the following weekend and then heading into Alberta and east for the rest of the series. Of the 10 dates announced for the series, Kamloops and Nanaimo are the only B.C. stops.

Adding even more heat to the competition, the 2013 MX1 national champion Brett Metcalfe, a member of the Kamloops-based Monster Energy Thor Kawasaki team is returning to the national series, along with the 2012 MX1 national champion Matt Goerke and with 2014 champion Colton Facciotti.

The event will take place Sunday, May 31, at Whispering Pines and will include a Western Canadian Super Mini Nationals race.
