THOMPSON-OKANAGAN - Look to the sky, because it could get ugly.

A severe thunderstorm watch was issued today at about 10 a.m. for the North Okanagan (including Vernon), Shuswap and North Thompson regions.

As of now, a storm is not a sure thing since Environment Canada defines a thunderstorm watch as "conditions favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms."

Environment Canada reminds the public that storms may be capable of producing strong winds, heavy rain and large hail.
