KELOWNA – A regional park in Glenrosa will be closed for a day this week so work crews can remove a large tree.

The parking lot and trails leading to a section of Glen Canyon Regional Park will be closed to the public Thursday, Feb. 4 while work crews cut down a cottonwood that stands next to a hiking trail.

The removal is part of a fire fuel modification project taking place on approximately 15 hectares of the West Kelowna park.

For their safety and the safety of the work crews, park visitors are asked to stay out of the area for the day.

For more information on the fuel reduction project, visit the Central Okanagan Regional District website.
