KELOWNA — An 81-year-old man who walked away from his home at 1 a.m. today was found four hours later.

Kelowna RCMP called in the Central Okanagan Search and Rescue team to help find the dementia patient around the Glen Meadow Rd area of Glenmore. They conducted an urban search of the neighbourhoods around his home. COSAR attended with a rapid search team of seven members but police found the RCMP about four kms away walking along Clement Ave.

He was returned to his home, where he was checked out by B.C. Ambulance service and found to be in good health.
