KELOWNA – RCMP want to talk to a Good Samaritan who helped an elderly woman after she was robbed and assaulted last month.

Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a media release shortly after 10:30 p.m. April 3, a woman who was walking alone on Gordon Drive near Bernard Avenue was pushed to the ground by two unknown men who then stole her purse.

O’Donaghey says the woman was not seriously injured and was “assisted by an unknown male who walked the woman home and managed to locate and recover the woman’s abandoned purse along the way.”

Anyone with any information about this incident, or the identity of the individual who provided the victim a safe escort home, are asked to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
