Get creative, learn to cook or play a sport with the fall activity guide offerings

KELOWNA - This season, turn over a new leaf and fall into some great programs and classes.

The Activity and Program Guide offers so much more than just fitness and aquatics programs. Tap into your creative side with an art class, learn how to play a new instrument and discover all of the options available for after school programs, sports leagues, cooking classes and more.

There are more than 25 locations throughout Kelowna where programs are available. Some of these include the Rutland Activity Centre, Watson Road Elementary School, Okanagan Mission Secondary School and Kinsmen Media Centre.

Check out the City of Kelowna’s online Fall Activity and Program Guide online starting Tuesday, Aug. 2. Registration for general programs begins August 9.

Fall registration dates and times:

August 9: General Programs, 7:30 a.m.
August 11: Aquatics and First Aid, 7:30 a.m.
August 12: Sports Leagues, 7:30 a.m.
               Programs for Persons with a Disability, 9:30 a.m.

Set up your online registration account in advance to avoid the registration lineups and register from home.

Call (250) 469-8800 to get your account pin and client barcode.

Hard copies of the guide will be available at H2O Adventure & Fitness Centre, Glenmore IGA, Main Library Downtown, Parkinson Recreation Centre and Rutland Arena on Wednesday, Aug. 3.

The Parkinson Recreation Centre facility pass offers a multitude of options including access to the weight room, cardio room, circuit training room, drop-in basketball, and the pool. Affordable rates make it easy to get active and stay active.
