SUN PEAKS - A big name will be serenading crowds at Sun Peaks later this month, and unlike a ski pass, admission is free.

Colin James, a six-time Juno winner and multi-platinum selling artist, will be playing at the mountain on August 31 as part of Sun Peaks' free summer concert series.

“Colin James is a perfect addition to our summer concert series,” Christopher Nicolson, president of Tourism Sun Peaks, said in a media release. “Sun Peaks is creating a reputation for offering outstanding free performances in a unique alpine setting and this concert will continue to solidify that statement.”

Canadian artist Burton Cummings kicked off the series with a performance on July 13.

The mountain resort expects thousands to fill the natural amphitheatre on Sunbeam ski run. While general access to the concert will be free, more information regarding Front Stage Access tickets and accommodation packages will be announced shortly.

Colin James has performed with the likes of Carlos Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Lenny Kravitz and others, and is nearing 25 years since his first album.
