WEST KELOWNA – Police are searching for two persons of interest who took out a substantial loan from a local money lending store using stolen identification.

Earlier this month, the money lending company reported a possible fraudulent transaction similar to a few cases in Alberta.

On March 9, two persons of interest were caught on camera at the store after taking out a large sum of money, according to a release from Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers. Police say the identification used on the loan application was stolen three weeks prior in Alberta.

RCMP released security footage of the two persons of interest who are believed to be travelling together committing similar frauds.
