Foegele to play for Penticton

PENTICTON – The Penticton Vees Jr. ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce forward Warren Foegele (96) has committed for the 2014-15 season.

Vees President, General Manager & Head Coach Fred Harbinson, “Warren attended our Training Camp prior to returning to St. Andrew’s this season and we knew from his short time in Penticton, Warren was a player that would be a huge addition to our team in 2014-15.”

Foegele, 17, is currently enrolled at St. Andrew’s College (SAC) in Aurora, Ontario, where he currently plays for their Varsity hockey team. SAC plays in two leagues, the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA) and the Midwest Prep Hockey League (MPHL).  Foegele leads SAC in scoring in the MPHL, with six goals and 21 points in just nine games. He has another three goals and four points in as many games in the CISAA. Overall, Foegele leads SAC in scoring, with 15 goals and 37 points in 17 games; eight points better than the next highest scorer.

The Unionville, Ontario native had 37 goals and 73 points in 58 games last year for SAC’s Varsity team, and was named a CISAA and MPHL All-Star. Foegele already has a commitment to play for the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Wildcats in 2015.

St. Andrew’s College is an all-boys prep school from grade 5-12 that was founded in 1899 in Toronto, but later relocated to Aurora in 1926.
