First weekend of summer a hot one in the Okanagan

OKANAGAN - It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in the Okanagan if you can escape the heat.

Today, June 22, we’ll see a day full of sun, according to Environment Canada, with highs of 25 Celsius. Overnight we’ll continue to have clear skies with lows around 10 C.

Tomorrow it’ll be even warmer, as we can expect a high of 29 C across the region and sunny skies again. Overnight the temperature should drop to around 11 C.

Saturday we should break the 30 C barrier, with a high of 32 C and sunny skies yet again. Overnight temperatures will drop to 14 C.

Sunday will likely be one of the hottest days of the year so far, with a high of 34 C currently forecast. The night time low should be warm as well, at 18 C.

Next week the sun and heat continues with temperatures predicted to be in the high-20s to mid-30s.

Normal temperatures for this time of year in the Okanagan are highs of 24 C and lows of 11 C.
