OSOYOOS - A motorist spent an anxious night after leaving Highway 3 and rolling down an embankment before being discovered by a local volunteer firefighter.
An Anarchist Mountain firefighter was out walking with his wife near Highway 3 on Blacktail Road around noon yesterday, Oct. 22, when they heard what sounded like a goat bleating, according to release on the fire department's Facebook page.

The firefighter investigated and discovered a vehicle had gone off Highway 3 and rolled down an embankment.
The driver could be heard crying for help.
Emergency personnel found the driver lying close to the car and provided first aid before transporting them to hospital.
The driver told firefighters he had crashed at around 8 p.m. on Saturday.
The car had rolled onto its roof, out of sight to people driving on Highway 3.
