Fire hazard debris removal in Glen Canyon Regional Park

A small section within Glen Canyon Regional Park will be closed starting Monday, July 4, until Friday, July 8, to allow removal of fire hazard wood debris.

Informal trails will be closed into this approximately one hectare area of the park, located just southwest of the City of West Kelowna’s Westbank Centre Park and west of Pineridge Place. The access into Glen Canyon Regional Park from the Pineridge Place walkway will also be closed.

Designated trails from the Paynter-McKay Trailhead along Hebert Road and from Westbank Centre Park may be closed for short periods to allow the movement of equipment and removal of collected debris from the work area.

For the safety of park visitors and that of workers on site, the regional district thanks everyone for their cooperation while the closure is in effect.
