WEST KELOWNA – No word yet on the cause of a fire which burned the exterior of a home's attached garage in West Kelowna Saturday afternoon.
West Kelowna Fire Rescue says crews were called to the blaze in the 1000-block of Anders Road in Lakeview Heights at about 3:45 p.m., Aug. 22.
Assistant fire chief Darren Lee says in a media release firefighters “made a quick attack from the outside and were able to knock the fire down.”
He says once they had the fire under control, the crew “forced entry” into the home to make sure it hadn’t spread inside.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no one was hurt.
Lee says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
