WEST KELOWNA – Members of West Kelowna Fire Rescue were called to Stevens Road shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday night with reports of smoke coming from a unit in a commercial business park.
Assistant chief Darren Lee says crews arrived to find a fire burning at the back of Integrated Power Systems and smoke spreading to other units via the heating ducts.
“Crews were able to knock down the main body of fire with an offensive interior fire attack,” Lee says. “Once the fire was under control, crews worked to protect the attached units from fire, smoke and water damage.”
The fire is believed to be accidental however crews continue to investigate.
There were no injuries.
