THOMPSON-OKANAGAN - This year’s federal census will provide some job opportunities for residents in the Thompson-Okanagan.

As 2016 is a census year in Canada, 35,000 temporary jobs will need to be filled across the country.

The work will be available from early April to the end of July 2016.

Applications are now being accepted for census jobs, which include supervisory and non-supervisory positions.

Due to anticipated volume of applications, only candidates who are successful at each step in the hiring process will be contacted for continuation to the next step in the hiring process.

For more information see the Federal Census website.
