Argonauts release international receivers Elliot, Hazelton, Gurley and Bates

TORONTO - International receivers Kevin Elliot, Vidal Hazelton, Tori Gurley and Phil Bates were all released by the Toronto Argonauts on Monday night.

The Argonauts also announced the signing of international defensive end Eric Martin.

Martin, a six-foot-two 260-pound native of Los Angeles arrives in Toronto after spending the previous three seasons in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns and most recently the New England Patriots.

In 29 NFL games between the Browns and Patriots, he registered 14 tackles.
