KAMLOOPS - If you’re looking to take date night beyond Netflix this Valentine’s Day or simply want to keep your weekend busy, here are some upcoming events in Kamloops.

Check out the Kamloops Storm take on Revelstoke tonight, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. at the McArthur Island Sportsplex. To make it an all-hockey weekend, check out the Blazers play Vancouver at the Sandman Centre on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.

Want Valentine’s to have a certain je ne sais quoi? Beef up on your French at the Downtown Kamloops Library with an hour of conversational French from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Feb. 13.

Folk, Celtic, country and bluegrass music awaits at the North Shore Community Centre tonight with Saskia and Darrel, travelling folk duo. The show runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and costs $12 at the door. To buy tickets for $10, call 250-376-4777.

The Hank Stallion Band will play at the Blue Grotto tonight and tomorrow night. A $5 cover charge applies and doors open at 8 p.m.

Bands Animal Teeth, Daydreams and No Spectrum will be playing at Barnacle Records downtown. Tickets are $5 at the door and the event will begin at 4 p.m.

You can satisfy your classical music tastes at the Sagebrush Theatre tomorrow with the Kamloops Symphony depicting the artist Ravel through music.

If you want a little more action, check out the Burton Music Festival at Sun Peaks starting Sunday, Feb. 13.

Want to see the sparks fly between you and your sweetheart? Visit the Big Little Science Centre for a Static Electricity interactive show from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

A glass of wine, or several, await you on a VIP trail of the Kamloops Wine Trail this weekend. For $149 per couple, the price includes pick up from your home, sampling fees and lunch. Call 250-572-0008.

Special Valentine’s dinners are available at the following restaurants: Hoodoos, Blue Dining, Romeos Kitchen and Fireside Steakhouse.

The Breakfast Club will host a dinner and dance fundraiser event at the Kamloops Convention Centre on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased at Bold Pizzeria or Taco Del Mar.
